SF Civic Tech is a 100% volunteer organization working to make San Francisco better through civic technology. We are members of the community, working for the community.

Heard it all before? We are unlike any other organization.

• We are 100% Volunteer. Even organizers. Our commitment to this practice allows anyone to contribute to running this organization, with no barriers to entry that would come with paid work.
• We have an open door policy. As long as you are respectful to those you meet, you may join any meeting to see what's being worked on and how you can contribute. Or just be a fly on that wall to see how things work.
• No application process. We know even a loose application process can keep amazing people from joining us, and we don't want that.
• We are truly grassroots. Have an idea? We'd love to hear from you, and will match your effort and commitment with our own.
